DUTIES: Use mathematical modeling and optimizing methods to solve business problems and aid in decision making by building a data pipeline from scratch and create project specific evaluation metrics with Greenfield & Automation Portal (25%). Undertake exploratory analysis and statistical analysis of highly complex and large-volume datasets, containing billions of rows of data, with dataMiner & Visual Studio Code (13%). Create data visualization/reporting with Greenfield & Automation Portal (19%). Assume the role of a peer leader to guide and support the onboarding process for new team members (13%). Engage in Enterprise Ops leadership, inclusivity, and training tasks (13%). Provide routine presentation/share-out with external teams (5%). Engage in cross-functional collaboration with project partners (12%). Take lead to answer ad-hoc requests, mostly relating to guest shopping pattern and volume (6%). REQUIREMENTS: At least a Master’s Degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, or a closely related field, and five (5) years of experience in operations analysis and/or business consulting (any title). Must include at least three (3) years of experience connecting business challenges with technical skills for solutions; analyzing data to make recommendations or inform feature selections; and delivering presentations to stakeholders. Must include at least two (2) years of experience applying data science to solve business challenges; developing, training, and testing machine learning models; conducting statistical analysis on datasets containing approximately 500 million rows of data using dataMiner and Visual Studio Code; performing exploratory analysis on retail specific datasets (item attributes table, location history table, sales table or inventory table) using dataMiner and Visual Studio Code; creating data visualization and reporting with Greenfield and Automation Portal; and leading junior analysts / team members. Must include at least six (6) months of experience utilizing SQL, Python, R, Hive, JIRA, Exploratory Analysis, Statistical Analysis, Regression Analysis, Predictive Modeling, and Data Visualization.
