Chief Financial Officer – Wolfe Eye Clinic
Wolfe Eye Clinic has an opportunity for a Chief Financial Officer to join our organization due to an internal promotion. Our physician owned, multispecialty medical and surgical eye care practice has been in business for more than 100 years. We have a strong family eye care foundation with well-established locations across the state of Iowa.
We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide operational and financial guidance to the organization. This position reports directly to the CEO and the Board of Directors. The CFO serves as an integral member of the executive management team and acts as an important advisor to the board on strategic matters related to budgeting, acquisitions & feasibility analysis, risk management, cash flow, and corporate financing.
Candidates must have exceptional interpersonal skills to lead and direct all internal and external financial management and finance-related services for the organization. Ideal candidates will have 10+ years of public accounting experience coupled with progressive private industry experience and proven success as a CFO. Must also have demonstrable experience analyzing and interpreting data along with offering solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- External financial reporting
- Cash flow management
- Banking and financing
- Insurance and risk management
- Revenue cycle management
- Lead and oversee Information Technology and Data Analytic teams
- Financial and operational projections and analysis
- Contract negotiation
- Ensure that the company meets requirements of auditors, and government agencies
Education and Experience:
·Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required
·CPA required
·MBA, CGMA, or CMA preferred
·Public accounting experience a plus
·10+ years of experience in accounting or finance
·5+ years of management experience
·Strong Microsoft excel skills
·Entrepreneurial spirit
·Strong presentation skills
·Understanding GAAP and firm accounting policies and procedures
·Sound written and verbal communication skills
This position will be a fully onsite role based in West Des Moines, Iowa, with regular day time travel and periodic overnight travel as needed.
