VCT is currently looking for safe and reliable Class A CDL truck drivers for our night shift in the Spokane Valley area. This position will transport trailers to various locations within Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana. This position is a home daily position. This position will haul wood residuals within the area listed above in 53’ wood residuals trailers.
Loading and unloading is a requirement of this position.

Responsibilities:
Perform DOT inspections to ensure that the equipment is safe to operate. Report any defects to the appropriate department.
Follow direction from dispatch.
Comply with ALL DOT regulations. (i.e., weight restrictions, rest breaks, etc.)
Report any violations or citations immediately.

Requirements:
Must have a valid Class A CDL DL
No major traffic violations within the last three years
Must be safe and reliable
Team player
Load from an elevated hopper or direct a loader operator
Back onto an tipper to unload at mill sites while following customer guidelines
Able to work in inclement weather occasionally
Physically able to climb a ladder occasionally
Physically able to open manual tarp systems using upper body strength
Willing and able to use and install tire chains as necessary
Able to work through unforeseen issues with professionalism and with minimal supervision
Ability to enter Canada a PLUS

Pay:
$0.55 per mile
$0.05 per mile night shift differential
$30.00 to load
$20.00 to unload
Per hour pay for anything after 45 minutes of extended wait time. (managed by dispatch)
Border crossing per mile differential
