A top-tier institutional asset management firm in Chicago is currently looking to hire a Director, Institutional Sales who has 5 - 10+ years of institutional sales experience raising capital for traditional / alternative investment products within the Midwest region. This is a great opportunity to work in a small, collaborative group while reporting directly to the Head of Sales.
Responsibilities:
• Raise capital from institutions in the Midwest region for global investment products.
• Initiate research to target potential investors for business development and attend investor meetings.
• Serve as the primary investment contact for assigned prospects and / or intermediaries.
• Build strong relationships with field consultants gathering market intelligence and disseminating it back to the team.
• Work with Consultant Research Team to obtain / maintain buy ratings for institutional investment products.
• Provide prospects, consultants and / or intermediaries with ongoing updates about the investment philosophy, process, and performance of specific products.
• Define new approaches to sell and deliver products.
Requirements:
• 5 - 10+ years of institutional sales experience raising capital for traditional / alternative investment products within the Midwest region.
• Strong understanding of institutional investors and / or intermediary channels.
• Knowledge of traditional / alternative investment strategies and benchmarks.
