Lean Manufacturing Manager

What will you do:- Lead, coach, and train all levels/functions on the use and adaptation of Lean methodology (ex. EVSM, VSMs, Kaizen events, 6 Sigma, etc.) tools and other problem- solving techniques to guide and support our business success.
- Define and implement the strategic plan for process improvements at the site. Facilitate plant wide Kaizen events that are aligned with the facility's 3-5-year plan.
- Partner with functional leaders to assess current processes and identify process improvement opportunities and then work closely with them to create a continuous improvement plan aligned on their goals.
- Identify and remove the removal of roadblocks encountered by people in their efforts to conduct lean activities. This includes improving the different training documents, audit forms and other tools.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge through outstanding lean manufacturing benchmarking and personal growth and development.
- Track, measure, and report progress on improvements using established Key Performance Indicators.
What Will You Bring:- BS in Industrial Engineering, a similar technical major or equivalent experience is required. A Lean Green Belt certification is required. A Black Belt certification is preferred.
- 5-8 years' experience in a continuous improvement leadership role is required, preferably in a manufacturing environment with a demonstrated flexibility in leading and training people on all shifts.
- Demonstrated experience in leading a team by setting clear goals, providing regular feedback/coaching, leading by example, and fostering a positive work environment to inspire change together. Experience in leading organizational cultural change, such variation reduction, is preferred.
- Critical thinking skills to analyze the situation/data, find the root cause, and implement solutions to eliminate/reduce the risk of the problem happening again.
- Analytical skills to objectively examine data, recognize patterns, and make connections between seemingly unrelated ideas and concepts, and then visually communicate the results to others.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with data analytical tools like MicroStrategy, Power BI, OSI PI, Matlab, Minita
