We are seeking a dedicated and organized Administrative Assistant to join our team in Natural Science Division of Pepperdine University. The administrative assistant for the assists the divisional dean, fellow staff, faculty, and students of the division in achieving the goals of the college. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by providing essential administrative support. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Duties
Provide daily support for Division faculty and students awarded internal budgetary funds including faculty/student reimbursements, vendor payment requisitions, credit card reconciliation, petty cash reimbursements, travel arrangements (including conference registration, hotel reservation and transportation arrangement, etc.), and budget reconciliation of division funds.
Research, share, implement best business practices, etc.
Assist the department head with activities that support the College's assessment of student learning.
Support the Division Office with phone coverage, editing/proofreading, PeopleSoft, Internal and External vendor request forms, etc.
Manage faculty applications and award correspondence for internal research programs.
Organize various events related to division activities (e.g. back to school luncheon and Christmas luncheon for faculty, graduation reception, etc.).
Perform other duties as assigned.
Uphold University mission through work performed.

Skills and Qualifications
Required: Bachelor's degree; computer literacy; no less than 3 years of office experience. Exceptional writing skills; ability to maintain confidentiality; high degree of attention to detail; ability to work with a variety of people; public relations skills; ability to function under pressure; ability to work efficiently; aptitude and willingness to learn; overall concepts and applications; time- and people-management skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google-powered email, calendars, document creating and sharing, PC or Mac, copier, fax, and phone.
Preferred: PeopleSoft student records training; knowledge of Pepperdine; college or University office experience; Proficiency with PeopleSoft.

This is a Regular, Nonexempt, 40 hour per week position.
Expected Pay Range: $22.50 - $25.00 per hour
The above pay range reflects what Pepperdine University reasonably expects to pay for this position at time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on relevant factors such as work experience, market conditions, education/training, and skill level.
