Job Summary:
The Lead Canning Line Operator is responsible for operating and running all pieces of the canning line; this includes maintenance and repairs. The lead has the responsibility to drive the Assistant Canning Line Operators to specific Boomhut clientele locations to assist them with packaging canning alcoholic beverages while monitoring to ensure that Boomhut is in compliance with safety, quality, and quantity standards.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Trains, troubleshoot, monitor canning line operators on the assigned shift.
· Oversees the daily workflow and assignments of the canning lines operators during the shift.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Assisting with all aspects of operating a beverage canning line including, but not limited to:
· Mastering the complexities of operating mobile canning equipment
· Troubleshooting beverage conditions and mechanical problems
· Extensive cleaning, sanitizing, and maintenance of the auxiliary equipment
· Stocking the truck with supplies before canning run
· Enforcing quality control, efficiency, and accurate statistical tracking
· Working closely with Boomhut clientele (owners, breweries, winemakers, etc.)
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Knowledge of having worked with production schedules preferred.
· Ability to operate a pallet jack.
· An understanding of sterility and handling finished alcoholic beverage
· Proficient verbal and written skills are required.
· Can perform basic math, with frequent problem solving
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- required for interactions with customers, vendors, and coworkers.
· Must be personable and have a positive attitude.
· A strong work ethic is preferred.
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Previous canning line experience
· Valid Driver's License
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to continuously stand or walk
· Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift frequently
· Occasionally required to lift 50+ pounds
· Ability to perform repetitive motion functions in support of canning line operations
