We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Manager - Enterprise Application Management to join the Enterprise Solutions team! In this role, you will manage a team of Application Administrators and SREs with a focus in the Enterprise Solutions area.
As the IT Manager of the Application Administrator & Site Reliability Engineer teams, you will be responsible for supervising the administration and maintenance of specified N-tier applications within Ferguson's Enterprise Solution's team to include installation, configuration, monitoring, planning, troubleshooting, and issue resolution. The ideal candidate will have prior experience leading & managing a team, administering applications, managing and building deployment pipelines, and experience optimizing system performance.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:- Lead a dynamic team that supports key applications for Ferguson.
- Manage the team's workload with a focus on ensuring good skills depth.
- Administer N-tier application(s).
- Administer cloud applications (Azure, Oracle).
- Build a culture of continually improving application management.
- Assess storage and processing capability for specified applications to support current and future initiatives.
- Provide level 3 technical support to include proactive and reactive incident resolution.
- Collaborate with Systems Administrators to troubleshoot hardware and OS-level issues on the following platforms RedHat/Oracle Linux, Windows Server, Azure and Oracle.
- Collaborate with Network Engineers to solve networking issues as it pertains to specified Applications.
- Identify recurring incidents impacting user population, help identify root cause, and resolve problems.
- Establish alerting and automated fix actions for application issues.
- Creatively use tooling to identify potential problems.
- Ensure knowledge database is populated with resolutions, workarounds and known issues.
- Complete software or system releases as requested.
- Establish and maintain users authorization where applicable.
- Continually seeks opportunities to learn about the technologies supporting the applications.
- Complete requests for configuration changes.
- Resolve performance issues.
- Facilitates and acts as a focal point for communication system related problems within the department and collaborates with other IT teams and leaders on solutions, enhancements and process improvements.
- Hires, coaches, and evaluates associates, their performance and implements corrective action as necessary.
- Develops relevant metrics to measure the performance of applications delivered by the team.
- Effectively leverage metrics to identify trends indicating a potential problem.
- Works closely project teams in identifying, evaluating, selecting, and implementing applications.
- Defines procedures that are aligned with IT and Ferguson policies.
- Assists with the preparing of budgets for IT systems, services and associate needs.
- Participate in leadership meetings and represent associate concerns, policies and guidelines to the management team.
- Ensure there is good communication with associates.
Qualifications and Requirements:- Minimum of 7+ years systems administration experience.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experiencing leading / developing a team of administrators.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Demonstrated proficiency in resolving issues efficiently.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a team environment.
- Lead and prioritize numerous tasks.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems.
- Ability to understand and create infrastructure diagrams using Visio.
- Possess advanced Windows server administration skills.
- Possess advanced Linux server administration skills.
- Thorough understanding of networking connectivity and load balancing.
- Familiarity with application deployments and understanding of effective deployment approaches.
- Experience or familiarity with IIS, HTML, Java, Jboss, Azure and Oracle Cloud.
- Experience writing SQL queries, Powershell scripts, and Bash scripts.

Pay Range:Actual pay rate may vary depending upon location. The estimated pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on a candidate's qualifications and prior experience.
$7,568.91 - $13,247.76
Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
