Universal Music Group (UMG) is seeking an Accounting Manager position within its Central Accounting Services (CAS) division. This position will support the general accounting close cycle and corporate reporting process of UMG's various operations. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of combined frontline general ledger and/or corporate reporting experience, must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and CPA credentials are preferred.

How you'll CREATE:In this role, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in a broad array of accounting, analysis, reporting and SAP configuration maintenance activities, including:
- Primary responsibility is to assist CAS with Month End close responsibilities and duties from a reporting and system maintenance role:
- Assist with maintaining and configurating SAP
- Assist with maintaining, configurating ServiceNow
- Assist with raising CRs, logging defects and testing in ServiceNow
- Provide CAS user support in the JVA areas of the US Royal Portal
- Provide CAS user support in the areas of ServiceNow
- Coordinates the quarterly review of ServiceNow user access
- Run reconciliation reports, identify and communicate to the CAS teams for any reconciling items for SAP between SAP FI, SAP BW and HFM
- Run validation reports, identify and communicate to various CAS teams for any Intercompany, COPA, Movement type, trading partner validation errors and annual Opening SAP balances
- Create/Maintain SAP Company Codes, Profit Centers, Cost Centers and project settlement rules
- Maintain SAP Posting Periods
- Maintains CAS US Org Structure reference materials
- Run SAP Cost Center assessment and allocation processes
- Assist with JVA table maintenance and processing
- Assist with DDF table maintenance and processing
- Assist with FHD table maintenance and processing
- Assist with user maintenance on CAS SharePoint site.
- Assist with consolidating FiRR updates for CAS.
- Assist with documentation
- Prepare and post journal entries for any necessary reclass
- Assist CAS users with research and resolve accounting issues and inquire
- Liaise with internal & external auditors and prepare audit and compliance schedules as required
- Support special projects, process improvement initiatives & annual SOX testing
Bring your VIBE:- Bachelors Degree in Accounting a must, CPA or MBA preferred
- 4 to 6 years of broad general ledger accounting or corporate reporting experience; public accounting experience preferred
- Experience with SAP or similar general ledger applications
- Strong Excel & Word skills required
- Strong analytical skills required; along with attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Possess strong oral and written communication skills
- Highly attention to detail and accuracy. Deliver consistency and quality of work and meet multiple deadlines meanwhile
- Authorized to work in the US
