Job Description Leading the manufacturing planning team to develop detailed, executable factory schedules that align production with business goals. It requires coordinating with Manufacturing Operations to ensure schedules are effectively communicated across the site and executed according to plan. The position plays a critical role in adapting and adjusting schedules based on the facility's actual performance, ensuring the right product is produced at the right time, for the right customer, and at the right cost. As the final step before execution, the role is essential in aligning resources and production processes to meet customer demands efficiently
Duties & Responsibilities - Lead and manage workflow and priorities of the manufacturing planning team
- Create and ensure standard work is maintained across the site and the within the planning organization
- Create and maintain manufacturing production schedules that optimize plant operational efficiency given the supply plan requirements.
- Day to day responsibility for overseeing the implementation of these production schedules including releasing, auditing and closure of work orders, as well as collaboration and communication with Manufacturing teams to ensure their proper execution.
- Communicate and resolve production scheduling issues at plant level and escalate critical unresolved issues effectively to Manufacturing, S&OE and Global sourcing.
- Collaboration with Manufacturing and Supply & Operations Execution(S&OE) teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvements to the scheduling and manufacturing processes
- Drive systemic performance improvements in production planning and validate the improvements through defined KPI's and leverage the Smiths Excellence to drive continuous improvement to those KPI's
- Maintain assigned master data and work closely with manufacturing engineering to ensure proper BOM and routing structures.
- Develop team members (direct reports) through coaching, mentoring and providing transparent feedback
- Additional duties as assigned.

The Individual - Bachelor Degree in Materials Management or Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum of ten years' experience in Materials Requirements Planning in a manufacturing and supply chain environment, Minimum of 4 years in a senior supervisory or managerial role.
- Minimum of 4 years working with ERP Systems based on MRP - Modules of Inventory, MPS, Planning, Capacity, etc.
- Good record of KPIs improvement, OTIF, Schedule Attainment, Cycle time, Inventory reduction, , etc.
- Certified in Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma or similar is desirable.
Salary & Benefits The salary range for this role is $86,000.00 through $96,000.00 depending on experience.
