Job Summary:
Administers and interprets various eye tests. Recommends and administers therapy for eye problems, under the supervision of the ophthamologist and/or physician.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Administers tests to measure and evaluate visual acuity, focusing ability, uniocular cooperation eye motor movements, and color vision using prisms, red lenses, and synophoter. Interprets test results and recommends to the Ophthalmologist treatment and/or therapy. Administers therapy, prepares reports, and confers with physicians regarding patients needs and progress.

Education
- Graduation from an accredited orthoptics program required.
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
License, Certification, Registration
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A thorough knowledge of the development of childrens vision preferred.
Secondary Functions:
- Position includes floating to all satellites and will work some weekends and holidays.
- Schedule may vary to meet operational needs.
