What winning looks like: - Lead and develop collaborative multidisciplinary wound care teams
- Travel to scheduled locations weekly for wound rounds and house calls, in an assigned region
- Provide the highest quality skin and wound care services to patients
- Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic studies to assess change to patients' health care needs
- Perform bedside wound care skills including: wound assessment, dressing application, pressure relief, pain/odor control, and minor surgical procedures
- Track the progress of wound healing and document timely in UWH's own wound care EMR
- Develop a treatment plan for skin and wound conditions based on the individual needs of each patient, and UWH's Clinical Practice Guidelines
- Collaborate virtually with our medical leadership including board certified physicians and surgeons specializing in wound care, dermatology, podiatry, vascular surgery, and infectious disease
Skills required for winning: - This fast-paced position requires standing for extended amounts of time
- Driving! You must have reliable transportation; valid driver's license and current auto insurance
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP, FNP, ARNP, APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) licensed in working state
- Active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) license
- 1-2 years of wound care and/or surgical experience (highly preferred, but not required); extensive training available
- Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work/schedule appointments independently
- Must be trustworthy, honest and have a positive and professional attitude
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people through both verbal and written communication lines
Compensation Range: $128,000.00 - $148,000.00 DOE with bonus potential (1.0FTE range)
This position is classified as: Salary, Exempt; Full-Time 0.8FTE to 1.0FTE
Hours: Typical hours areMonday through Friday; 6:00am - 3:00pm, no nights, weekends, or call
