The Regional Reporting Manager will oversee local accounting, tax and overall compliance on a standalone legal entity level. The successful candidate will drive local financial audits and tax filings, making sure that the entity is in good standing with local authorities. This role also involves close collaboration with corporate accounting in order to enable efficient month-end closing and achieve synergies.
Key Responsibilities:Tax Returns and Filings- Prepare and file all required tax returns accurately and on time
- Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and guidelines
- Liaise with tax advisors and authorities to resolve any tax-related issues or queries
Statutory Financial Statements (FS)- Prepare statutory financial statements in compliance with local regulations
- Ensure timely submission of statutory reports to relevant authorities
- Work closely with external accounting firms in countries where ABBYY operates to ensure adherence to local laws and regulations and maintain companies' good standing
- Identify trends, variances, and insights to support business decision-making
Statutory Audits and Transfer Pricing- Audit Coordination:
- Coordinate and manage statutory audits
- Provide necessary documentation and support to auditors
- Address and resolve audit findings and recommendations
- Transfer Pricing:
- Ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations
- Help with preparation and maintenance of transfer pricing documentation
Payment Authorization- Review and approve payment requests and vendor invoices
- Ensure payments are made in accordance with company policies and procedures
Bank Relationships- Banking Coordination:
- Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions in the countries of residence
- Oversee banking operations and ensure smooth transaction processing
Vendor Agreements Approvals- Contract Review:
- Review and approve vendor agreements and contracts
Relationships with External Providers- External Partnerships:
- Maintain and manage relationships with key external service providers, including auditors, tax advisors, and consultants
- Ensure service providers meet performance and compliance standards
Maintaining Local Books- Ensure local books are maintained accurately and in compliance with local accounting standards
- Oversee the recording of all financial transactions in the general ledger
Month-End Close Checks- Perform month-end closing activities, including local account reconciliations and variance analysis
- Ensure all financial data is accurate and complete
- Review journal entries and adjustments for accuracy and compliance

- Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and guidelines

- Ensure timely submission of statutory reports to relevant authorities
- Maintain relationship with external accounting firms that support ABBYY during local filings
Statutory Audits and Transfer Pricing- Make sure local audits are completed on time and with no significant audit findings
- Ensure that legal entities stand in compliance with local transfer pricing regulations
Corporate governance and legal entity support- Make sure local banking and external supporting parties' relationships are maintained on a good level
- Complete various local filings on time and make sure legal entities are in a good standing
Qualifications: - Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/ACCA or similar certification preferred
- Language skills: English, Hindi, other languages will be a plus
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience
Skills: - Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy

- Communication: Clear and effective communication with team members, vendors, and senior management

Salary Range:- The anticipated base salary range for this position is between $98,000 and $118,000. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location and relevant experience, education, certifications, and seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. There is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.
