Start Dates
Start dates for new graduate LPNs are biweekly throughout the year. You start orientation as a licensed LPN eligible to practice in Oklahoma.
New Grad Nurse Orientation
Our New Grad Nurse Orientation Program will build competence and confidence in your new role and enable you to move confidently into your future as a Mercy nurse. In our professional monthly workshops and focused support groups throughout your first year, you can share your own experiences, learn from experienced discussion leaders, and explore your impact on patient outcomes. Our monthly content includes conflict management, resiliency and burnout, palliative and comfort care, resiliency, and many other topics.
Position Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; Consideration will be given for comparable education experience and successful licensure.
- Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
