Work Designation. Depending on your location within the continental US, this role may be
hybrid or
remote. - If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be hybrid. This means you will be expected to work in the office for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership.

This means you will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US. If the role is remote, there may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need. What does it take to be successful in this role? - Excellent inter-personal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with technical, business, and senior management stakeholders
- Strong influencing, conflict resolution, decision making and negotiation skills
- A willingness to challenge and improve processes where it impacts the pace of the team
- Ability to design, plan and lead cross-functional project workshops
- Project delivery experience using agile best practices and knowledge of Jira & Confluence tools
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Familiarity with DevSecOps and integrating security into the software development lifecycle
Education & Experience Required - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering or related field
- Six or more years of experience in complex IT or Cybersecurity projects
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Education & Experience Preferred - Certification in AWS Practitioner
Principal Duties & Responsibilities - Collaborate with Global Security Leadership and other stakeholders to define the security engineering strategy and develop a prioritized delivery roadmap
- Work within an agile delivery team to manage the team backlog and facilitate scrum ceremonies
- Manage end-to-end delivery of security engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and meet expected outcomes
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including IT, legal, compliance, and business units
- Communicate program status, risks, issues and key metrics to provide transparency back to Project Teams, Executive Leadership and other Stakeholders
- Maintain delivery momentum by solving issues and unblocking problems allowing the Cloud Security Engineering Team to realize delivery commitments
- Provide expert advice and guidance on program delivery by coaching colleagues on agile methodologies and tools
- Manage strategic Global Security projects outside the Cloud Security Engineering Program as required
- Performs other duties as required
Total RewardsThis compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate. The salary range for this position is $83,000 - $193,000.
