Job Overview The Beverage Manager at the New Orleans Superdome is responsible for overseeing all aspects of beverage operations during events, ensuring high-quality service, inventory control, and team management. This role involves the development and implementation of beverage programs that align with the venues standards and guests expectations, while maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for attendees. Key Responsibilities Oversee all beverage operations throughout the Superdome, ensuring that every bar, kiosk, and concession area is fully stocked and equipped. Develop and implement seasonal and event-specific beverage menus that cater to diverse tastes and provide a unique experience for guests. Collaborate with event organizers to tailor beverage offerings based on event type (sports games, concerts, conventions, etc.). Lead, train, and manage beverage staff, including bartenders, servers, and concession workers, to ensure efficient and high-quality service. Manage staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all events. Monitor beverage inventory and maintain appropriate stock levels, ensuring timely reordering and minimizing waste. Manage beverage budgets, working to control costs while maximizing revenue through pricing strategies and operational efficiencies. Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations regarding the sale and distribution of alcohol. Ensure that all beverage operations meet or exceed customer service expectations, handling guest inquiries and complaints professionally. Address any service issues promptly, maintaining a positive atmosphere for both guests and staff. Qualifications/Skills Proven experience in beverage management or hospitality management, ideally in a large venue or high-volume setting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team. In-depth knowledge of beverage trends, including craft cocktails, wine, and beer offerings. Ability to manage budgets, control costs, and meet financial goals. Familiarity with POS systems and inventory management software. Knowledge of local and state laws regarding alcohol service and safety. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Flexible schedule and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules. Certifications in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS certification). Other Requirements Able to work effectively and safely while subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and excessive noise; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight; must be able to maneuver in an often tightly-quartered environment.
