Job SummaryWorking with our QE teams, you will design solutions to testing problems the business faces through the implementation of contextually relevant process and practice, the use of tools and technology, and by applying soft skills such as effective communication in industry-standard & RBC sanctioned Quality Engineering methodologies. You are a technical specialist focusing on test case design and optimization with modelling tools, test automation, implementation, use & enablement of the QE function and will provide technical test design and planning in your area of expertise.
Job DescriptionWhat will you do? - Support or lead the execution of automated testing frameworks, processes and tools, and utilization of organizational change management practices to drive support and empower staff in assigned unit.
- Provide recommendations and contribute to test strategy & technical solutions in area of expertise, including leading QE work streams.
- Actively contribute to Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, grooming sessions, stand-up meetings, demo sessions, and retrospective meetings.
- Support and lead the implementation of the QE Program and overall QE processes and standards through optimized test case design, test architecture and utilization of automation frameworks.
- Coordinate and lead E2E, integration and UAT testing efforts.
- Liaise with various stakeholders to meet deadlines for priorities that sometimes conflict.
- Assess and analyse risks to test progress, work with manager to mitigate risks and unblock self, team.
- Automate test cases using RBC recommended automation framework, as per acceptance criteria, executing test cases manually and/or running the automated test scripts.
- Potential to coordinate QE tasks and deliverables with vendor partner staff located in offshore locations.
Must-have - Computer Engineering, Computer Science, related (technical) degree/diploma.
- 5+ years of experience designing test cases with a focus on optimized test design techniques.
- Coding experience in Java, Python (or anything equivalent), hands-on SQL and Linux knowledge.
- Hands-on experience in developing and implementing automation frameworks and automation strategies in an Agile environment.
- Experience with git, Jenkins and code deployment tools
Nice to Have- Review automation code, test plans and test cases written by your peers.
- Experience model-based testing techniques and tools such as ConformIQ.
- Wealth/Portfolio Management domain knowledge.
