The Opportunity The A&M Healthcare Industry Group is growing our practice. We are seeking individuals with top-tier consulting and healthcare industry operator experience at the Consultant and Sr. Consultant levels. As a Consultant/Sr. Consultant you will be working closely with healthcare clients on a range of complex assignments. The position is a unique opportunity to develop and grow key skills in the diverse and ever-changing Healthcare Industry. This role requires a flexible clear thinker with an aptitude for design and eye for "zero-defect" work.
What will you be doing? As a Consultant/Sr. Consultant you will work closely with healthcare clients on a range of complex assignments across the following areas:
- Reporting and Analytics Strategy and Performance
- Data and Analytics
- Financial Performance
- Performance Improvement & Benchmarking
- Revenue Cycle Efficiency, Accuracy and Growth
- Payment Integrity
You will work in a team environment while using your independent judgement and critical thinking skills to gather data, frame situations and provide practical solutions to add value based on clients' needs. You will work with senior executive clients on business-driven technology initiatives to deliver value across the organization. You will work as a consultative partner to our clients, execute day-to-day operations, build and manage relationships, ensure exceptional team performance and produce high quality, zero-defect deliverables that effectively align to clients' priorities.
What are we looking for? We are looking for candidates with a bias toward action and a track record of delivering meaningful results. Our ideal candidates will have:
Technical Skills- Collect, categorize, and analyze data originating from multiple sources with varying structures and degree of completeness
- Develop and reconcile complex reports from multiple data sources to validate accuracy and completeness
- Use data analysis tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL Server , Alteryx, MS Access, and Excel to analyze large-scale data and derive insights
- Build and maintain dashboards to display key information to high-level business stakeholders
- Create and present data analysis to clients and internal team stakeholders
- Knowledge and experience with workforce, claims, provider, and member data is a plus
- Experience working with business intelligence and metrics in a healthcare setting
- Understanding of technologies (data and analytics, data infrastructure & architecture, data ETL, AI/machine learning, cloud, agile and DevOps)
- Primary support and/or management of one or more workstreams within a broader program or business initiative
- Conduct analyses for large transformational technology projects across the following data areas:
- Infrastructure
- Visualization and Insights
- Integrity and Governance
- Strategy and Management
Project and Communication Skills- Develop point of view on impact of respective work to address key client business issues
- Assess and identify client needs via standard assessment and evaluation techniques
- Evaluate and validate analysis to support development of client scope, timeline, cost and recommendations
- Ensure zero-defect and client-ready deliverables
- Participate in the development and presentation of proposals for business development
- Ability to handle multiple, and often conflicting, priorities at one time
- High degree of professionalism, work ethic and confidentiality in handling client information
Strong analytical, presentation, and oral / written communication skills
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team environment, negotiate diplomatically, and maintain composure under deadline pressure
- Demonstrated leadership acumen
Education & Experience- Prior healthcare analytics experience from a top tier strategy and/or management consulting firm or previous experience in the healthcare industry and/or a healthcare related business including hospitals, healthplan, government / federal health experience (CMS, Veteran Affairs, etc.) is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree in related field (Public Health, Business, Engineering, Informatics, Analytics); relevant technical certification is a plus

In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.
Benefit Summary Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are also entitled to participate in Alvarez & Marsal Holdings' fringe benefits consisting of healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverages at rates determined from time to time as well as a 401(k) retirement plan. Provided the eligibility requirements are met, employees will also receive a discretionary contribution to their 401(k) from Alvarez & Marsal. Additionally, employees are eligible for paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy-two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave.
