Shift:
• Monday – Friday 12pm – 9pm
• Rotating Saturdays (apx 8am-Noon) depending on workload
• Some after-hours calls
• On-call rotating weekends and holidays
Note: Qualified candidates will also be required to take a basic knowledge/skills assessment test at the time of
your interview.
Required to apply:
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a diesel mechanic (DD13 engine & computer software or similar)
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a lead/supervisor/foreman
• Have own tools – enough for the job
• Able to climb, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, etc. to repair vehicles
• Ability to work full time and after hours as needed
• Able to lead a team of shop employees effectively
• Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Live within 45 minutes of our Lucerne Valley Facility
• Must be a team player with a flexible schedule to fill in as needed throughout our facility
• Familiarity with DOT and OSHA regulations
• Communication in English
Preferred but not required:
• Class A License
• Welding/Fabrication
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Responsibilities:
• Perform preventive maintenance to keep equipment in optimal condition
• Conduct inspections to determine vehicle condition
• Trouble shoot and diagnose engine problems and perform necessary repairs
• Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Lead a team of shop employees
• Communicate effectively with management and team members
• Provide after-hours road calls as needed
