Mill Valley Pasta Co. is hiring temporary Holiday Retail Associates for their new Downtown Mill Valley retail store. These staff members may be asked to check out guests at the register (we use Square in the event you're familiar with the platform), help re-stock shelves, light cleaning as needed to keep things tidy (you're not gonna have to clean the toilet or anything... promise!), and possibly build orders & assemble shipments ordered by guests for shipping.
The employment period is anticipated to be from Mid-November to the Christmas holiday. Associates in good standing after this time will have priority for future employment, whether it be other temporary holiday help in subsequent years or fuller time year-round employment opportunities as they arise.
We are looking for folks with a high internal motor and energy. We are known for the pastas and provisions we make in our production facility in San Rafael, but our retail store has an even bigger selection of tinned fish, imported and domestic cheeses, cookbooks and tools, curated housewares and linens, and more.
The team is be small but mighty! Being kind, dependable, and enthusiastic are all things we look for in the folks we hire.
Shifts may start as early as 9 am, and may extend as late as 7 pm as needed.
Required: Must be available to work weekends
Compensation: $21/hour for Holiday Retail Associates
