The Bier Stein is looking for a part-time Beer Stocker to join our team! The ideal candidate is someone who has a passion for craft beer, has a positive attitude, is flexible, and enjoys collaborating on a team.
Job Responsibilities Include:
Stocking/Inventory Management
- Front face bottles at cooler display throughout shift and maintain general order and appearance of the front cooler.
- Assist in putting away all incoming shipments.
• Make space in front cooler for new and returning products.
• Stock all received items and organize back cooler inventory.
- Stock the front cooler.
• Compile a list of items needing to be stocked from the back fridge and check inventory counted against stock listed in Yellow Dog to maintain correct inventory numbers.
• Cart needed items to front cooler and stock while remaining available to customers.
Draft Backup and Maintenance
- Backup kegs in front cooler based on list compiled by Dave.
• Be available for bartenders in the event a keg unexpectedly kicks and has no backup.
- Troubleshoot draft malfunctions.
• Be available to assist bartenders in the event of draft issues.
• Clean tainted lines.
• Change kegs when bartenders are busy.
- Troubleshooting crowler machines
• Clean and maintain crowler machines.
General Maintenance
- Clean front cooler weekly.
• Clear empty kegs from cooler.
• Sweep and mop including behind all kegs.
- Clean empty keg room every other week.
• Move all empty kegs and sweep and mop.
- Clean back cooler every other week.
• Sweep and mop including behind back bar kegs.
Stewarding
- Maintain intimate knowledge of current beer inventory and availability to aid customers in product selection.
• Have a working knowledge of beer styles to assist in appropriate beer selections.
• Build relationships with regular customers through familiarity of their beer preferences and offer new items when applicable.
- Be available to assist bartenders and managers when further knowledge is needed for customer questions regarding both draft and bottled products.
- Fill in for pre-shift meeting and beer tasting.
• Talk about upcoming events and applicable draft or bottle information bartenders need to know for their shift.
• Taste out new beers on tap and lead discussion that includes tasting comments and applicable stylistic guidelines.
• Proper glassware knowledge
- Ability to learn POS System to aid in ringing customers up as needed.
Requirements:
Must be available to work nights and weekends.

Starting at $14.20 + Tips (~ $10 per hour)
