About the Role
The Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) is responsible for establishing and managing the overall compliance framework within the organization, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, ethical standards, and corporate policies. This senior role involves overseeing regulatory compliance, implementing risk management frameworks, and ensuring organizational alignment with Lithuania's and EU’s compliance regulations. The CCO is accountable for protecting the organization’s integrity by fostering a compliance-conscious culture across all levels of the organization.
What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
Compliance Program Management: Developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive compliance program aligned with Lithuanian and EU regulations, including AML, GDPR, and other financial regulations.
Policy and Procedure Development: Designing and reviewing compliance policies, controls, and processes, ensuring they are effective and up to date with regulatory requirements.
Risk Management and Assessment: Identifying, assessing, and prioritizing compliance risks, implementing controls to manage these risks effectively.
Regulatory Liaison: Serving as the main point of contact with Lithuanian and EU regulatory bodies, managing audits, inspections, and inquiries.
Ethics and Conduct Oversight: Promoting a culture of ethical behavior, developing a code of conduct and training employees on compliance responsibilities.
Training and Awareness: Designing and delivering compliance training programs for employees and management, covering key topics like AML, data privacy, anti-bribery, and fraud prevention.
Monitoring and Reporting: Overseeing compliance monitoring and testing, reporting findings and recommendations to the CEO and Board of Directors.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner with departments (Legal, Risk, Audit) to ensure cohesive compliance and risk strategies across the organization.
Continuous Improvement: Monitoring regulatory changes, conducting gap analyses, and proactively implementing compliance improvements.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in law, finance, business, or a related field (master’s preferred).
Professional Experience: 10+ years of compliance experience in the financial services sector, with at least 5 years in a senior compliance role. Experience in the cryptocurrency or digital assets sector is a plus.
Certifications: Professional certifications (e.g., Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), ICA Compliance Diploma) are advantageous.
Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Lithuanian and EU compliance laws, including AML, GDPR, and financial regulations.

Analytical mindset with attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, especially for executive-level reporting and regulatory communications.
Fluency in Lithuanian and English.
