The Thompson Hollywood is Hiring for a Dishwasher/Events Prep Cook!
This is a part-time position dishwashing and prepping food for the hotel events. You will be expected to work at a fast pace while taking care to follow SOPs, directions from Chef, and all CA Health Department regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Polishes silver and glassware. Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Loads, runs and unloads dish machine.
• Maintains cleanliness of dishwashing space and reports any problems to Management immediately.
• Washes, sanitizes and stores all tableware and kitchenware according to Heath Department.
• Bags and hauls trash to dumpster at designated times.
• Maintains adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies. If running low, inform Chef before it runs out.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Chef or manager-on-duty.
• Must have flexible availability to work mornings, afternoons, and nights, including weekends and holidays.
Qualifications:
• Previous dishwashing in high-volume environment strongly preferred.
• Be able to work in hot, wet, humid and loud environment for long periods of time.
• Be able to work in a standing position for up to 8 hours.
• Be able to safely lift bags, cases and stacks weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must have current CA food handler’s card.
• Always act in a positive, professional manner.
• Follow safety, sanitation rules and laws at all times.
