What will success look like as a Paralegal at CD Law?
Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and case precedents.
Review and analyze medical records and other pertinent documents to support case preparation.
Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, hearings, and trials.
Organize and maintain exhibits and evidence for use in court proceedings.
Coordinate with expert witnesses and consultants as needed.
Assist in preparing demand letters and settlement packages.
Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing Master Trial Calendars.
Maintain confidentiality of client information and adhere to ethical and professional standards.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the needs of the firm.
What would an ideal candidate bring?
Bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies, Legal Studies, or a related field (preferred but not required);
Paralegal certification from an accredited institution (required);
Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a paralegal in a personal injury law firm;
Proficiency in Westlaw legal research tool;
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; Spanish speaking strongly preferred but not required;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred;
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment;
Knowledge of court procedures, legal terminology, and document drafting;
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Pertinent Information:
Compensation for this role is $85k-115k per year with a generous performance based bonus structure. This position is a full time, non-exempt employee. Work from home on Wednesdays (after the probation period). Office is located in Downtown Los Angeles, CA 90071. Safe and secure parking is available at no cost to the employee.
