Market of Choice in Ashland is hiring for an entry level Store Manager!
We are looking for a self-motivated team player with a caring attitude, sense of urgency, and the desire to be integral in the operation of our Ashland Market of Choice. Management responsibilities include:
- Working with MOC teammates and the management team to set and accomplish goals
- Prioritizing and delegating daily tasks and long-term projects
- Developing and maintaining outstanding relations with customers and vendors
- Ordering and merchandising products
- Overseeing inventory and maintaining records
- Training, scheduling, hiring, and supervising MOC teammates
- Enforcing company policies and ensuring a safe environment for customers and employees
- Contributing to the financial success of the business by overseeing the operational performance of the store and controlling expenses
- Evaluating, coaching, and developing MOC teammates
- Recognizing and understanding factors that affect sales and implementing actions to improve sales
- Exercising good judgment and decision-making in response to customer and teammate concerns
Minimum Job Requirements:
A successful 4th Store Management candidate will live the company's values of integrity, resourcefulness and competence and exhibit the following traits:
- Must be willing to relocate to Oregon
- Ability to work individually and collaboratively on a team
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making and analytical skills
- Ability to adapt and make on-the-go changes as needed
- Strong attention to detail
Preference will be given to applicants with previous grocery management or supervisory experience.
Reliable transportation and flexibility in scheduling, including ability to regularly work nights and weekends required.
