The Opportunity: Our Vice President, Senior Pharmacy Benefits Consultant performs in a primary client relationship role providing influential pharmacy benefits consulting for clients with the demonstrated ability to deliver results in a high quality and timely manner.
Your expertise will enhance revenue, profitability growth, and our competitive capabilities through intellectual capital development and other strategic oriented contributions and nurture and development our talent.
The Role: The Vice President, Senior Pharmacy Benefits Consultant builds influential rapport as a trusted advisor with clients and colleagues on both a strategic and tactical level.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
§ Negotiate with PBMs and act as a liaison on behalf of our clients for pricing, clinical programs, formularies, and pipeline drugs and strategy
§ You will be a key contributor in a segment of our business that is undergoing significant growth and viewed as integral to the Company’s client value proposition and revenue generation and growth activities.
§ Perform as the pharmacy benefits consulting lead on client engagements and manage PBM-related client projects and service delivery initiatives (e.g., proposals, market checks, audits, negotiations, contract reviews, etc.) as needed.
§ Provide technical review and analysis of PBM data, contracts, financial arrangements and PBM program effectiveness.
§ Design and deliver creative pharmacy benefit client solutions and plan designs customized to our client’s needs.
Qualifications
§ A minimum of 12+ years of experience preferably within a PBM and/or benefits consulting environment providing extensive technical review and analysis of PBM data, contracts, financial arrangements and PBM program effectiveness.
§ In-depth knowledge of PBM providers, products, services, financial, data reporting, contracting and negotiating elements and processes.
§ Licensed pharmacist highly preferred. Graduate degree in a related discipline is preferred (Rph or PharmD).
§ Bachelor’s degree in business, science, mathematics or a related discipline.
§ Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products to include Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
§ Strong technical/analytical and problem-solving skills with effective communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
§ Self-starter with excellent communication and negotiation skills and demonstrated experience handling multiple projects and assignments in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

The current salary range for this position is $150,500 to $200,000 plus opportunity for a discretionary performance bonus based on company profitability and employee performance.
