Summary of Duties:
Follow quality processes and procedures to perform detailed inspection in receiving, in-process and final inspection to ensure products conform to customer requirements, rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
Complete required documentation
Perform AS9102 first article inspection and other extensive inspections per specifications
Document all inspections in accordance with LeFiell procedures and processes
Develop and review inspection plans
Ensure quality standards are met for all components and assemblies for final acceptance
Maintain parts history folders, inspection reports and prints/drawings
Calibrate and document hand tools and other inspection equipment
Perform visual inspection
Perform hardness and electrical conductivity testing
Carries out day-to-day work following the departments continuous improvement plan
May perform other inspections or tests such as Proof test, Pressure test, CMM etc.
Establish and maintain good standards of communication and relations with other department, such as Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Receiving, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned by Management such as identification of product
Background and Experience:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Education: High School Diploma
Experience, knowledge and skills:
An Inspector candidate with 5 + years of overall experience in AS9100. The ideal candidate will have a manufacturing environment background in the aerospace industry. Candidate will have experience with the following:
Effectively work with mechanical and electronic inspection tools and devices
Must be familiar with and able to utilize inspection equipment such as Calipers, Micrometers, bore gages and many other gages required for the inspection of product
Working knowledge of Geometric and Dimensional tolerances
Working knowledge of mylars, optical comparator, thickness gage and profilometer
Knowledge of aerospace specifications, quality codes and standards
Able to read blueprints and schematics
Must be accurate and detailed with minimum errors
Able to work within specific time schedules/deadlines
Basic computer skills
Perform job with minimum of supervision
Work within a team environment

Shifts: We have 1 opening for first shift and 1 opening for second shift
1st Shift Schedule: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
2nd Shift Schedule: 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm
