Job Summary:
As a Host/Reservationist at Rossoblu, you will be the first point of contact for guests, setting the tone for their experience. This role requires a balance of empathy, professionalism, and organizational skills to manage reservations, answer inquiries, and maintain a warm atmosphere from start to finish. You will be a strategic thinker and skilled communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reservation Management: Efficiently utilize Open Table to book and manage reservations while accommodating guests' needs. Ensure prompt responses to emails and phone inquiries.
- Guest Experience: Welcome guests with genuine warmth, anticipate their needs, and resolve concerns with professionalism, ensuring every guest feels valued and special.
- Front Desk and Phone Etiquette: Maintain a consistent, welcoming presence at the host stand and on the phone. Always prioritize guest needs and satisfaction.
- Organizational Support: Keep the host stand and office areas organized. Regularly update menus, assist with basic office duties, and maintain cleanliness standards.
- Restroom Checks: Ensure restroom cleanliness and stock levels throughout the shift, maintaining an immaculate environment for our guests.
- Communication: Maintain clear, open communication with leadership and staff, providing timely updates on guest feedback and reservations.
- Restaurant Knowledge: Have a thorough understanding of our menu, seating arrangements, and local area to provide guidance and assistance to guests.
- Floor Support: When practical assist on the floor with tasks such as filling waters, resetting tables, running drinks etc.
- Event Assistance: Support event bookings and large-party arrangements, ensuring smooth and efficient service for group reservations.
Working Conditions:
Environment: Fast-paced, lively, and collaborative. Strong communication, a positive attitude, and respect for colleagues are essential.
Shifts:
Typically 4-8 hours, including weekends and holidays. Candidates must be prepared for shifts up to 8 hours.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods (up to 12 hours) and lift up to 50 lbs.
Core Competencies:
- Experience: At least 2 years of restaurant experience as a host.
- Passion for Hospitality: A genuine love for creating welcoming experiences and ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Professionalism: Reliable, punctual, self-motivated, and committed to delivering a high level of service.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Open Table, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic design software.
- Emotional Intelligence: Ability to manage stress, communicate effectively, and engage thoughtfully with guests.
