Office Support Supervisor
$5,640 - $6,856/Monthly*
Starting salary up to $39.42/hour ($82,274/year) plus a competitive total compensation package!*
This Office Support Supervisor will be responsible for supervising a team of Senior Office Assistants (SOA) spanning three different programs throughout the Human Services Department’s Adult and Aging Division, as well as dotted-line supervision of an additional SOA at the department’s South County Center. Additional responsibilities include:
- Training and monitoring staff performance
- Drafting internal division policies and procedures
- Collaborating with supervisors and managers to provide up-to-date services and ensure optimal internal customer service
- Coordinating facilities and fleet management, purchasing office supplies, making brochures, and assisting with additional building needs
- Assisting with administrative duties related to hiring and onboarding new staff
- Evaluating division ergonomics and assisting with equipment facilitation
- Overseeing safety planning and protocols for the division
- Assisting with IT and communications requests and providing timely follow-up
- Coordinating backup coverage as needed
The ideal candidate will possess many of the following:
- Experience effectively supervising, training, and mentoring staff
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with a variety of stakeholders
- The ability to participate in project planning and process development
- Expertise prioritizing work in a dynamic environment with the ability to shift gears quickly
- The ability to be a self-starter and work independently as well as part of a team
- A commitment to providing excellent customer service
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency
- Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills
- Knowledge of Adult and Aging programs is desired, but not required
