UCT is looking for a talented Mgr, Manufacturing to join us in Austin, TX!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing all production related issues for the site.
- Manage all day-to-day manufacturing related activities. Set priorities, capacity planning, level loading strategies, and headcount assessments.
- Responsible for overall factory performance in terms of on-time delivery, quality, and cost (cycle time and overtime).
- Responsible for initiating and implementing Manufacturing Process Capability and Continues quality improvement.
- Review and oversee manufacturing line design for optimal efficiency.
- Drive for continuous culture improvement throughout entire factory.
- Develop and maintain training / certification programs for manufacturing team members.
- Hire, train, and develop manufacturing personnel.
- Work closely with all support organizations (Materials, Engineering, Quality, etc.) to resolve customer issues, mitigate delivery and schedule problems, and expedite closure of material shortages.
- May manage facilities and EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) issues for the site.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work effectively with operations and other groups to ensure that site delivery and quality issues are met.
- Working knowledge of MRP/ERP applications; Visual or SAP preferred.
- Excellent management, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Strong technical leadership and semiconductor equipment knowledge desired.
- Strong experience with Process Control, KPI’s and engineering tools preferred.
- Ability to lead cross functional teams.
- Strong understanding of factory utilization and production efficiency.
- Ability to work effectively with operations and other groups to ensure that site delivery and quality issues are met.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent presentation skills.
- Working knowledge of MRP/ERP applications a plus.
- Ability to work long hours as needed.
Educational/Certification Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering discipline/equivalent; APICS/CPIM certification preferred.
Experience Requirement:
Work Experience:
- 5+ years of directly related Manufacturing experience preferably in Semiconductor capital equipment industry highly desired.
- 3+ years of directly related Engineering experience preferably in Lean Manufacturing environment preferred.
- Proven strong team building and personnel development experience.
- Gas/liquid delivery systems experience a plus.
- Working knowledge of quick-turn, engineer-to-order environment a plus.
Management Experience (for people manager job only):
- 5+ years of Management in a Manufacturing environment; preferably in Semiconductor capital equipment industry.
