As the Manager of High Voltage Charging and Distribution Systems, you will lead a talented engineering team in shaping the future of autonomous mobility. At Zoox, you’ll drive the design, development, and launch of advanced high-voltage distribution systems and innovative on-board and off-board charging hardware specifically crafted for our autonomous vehicle platform. This role places you at the center of a cross-functional effort, working closely with leaders in hardware, software, infrastructure, product, procurement, and more, to develop cutting-edge technology that supports a fully autonomous fleet.

In this role you will,
Lead and mentor a team of mechanical design engineers, fostering innovation and collaboration across projects
Develop, deploy, and enhance technology processes for charging and infrastructure systems
Oversee design and technical reviews for build-to-spec and build-to-print components from concept to production
Quickly resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with safety and industry standards
Approve and manage critical documentation, including BOMs, drawings, and test reports
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering (ME, EE, or Mechatronics) or equivalent experience
8+ years of engineering experience with 4+ years in people management
Technical background in EV subsystems, including design, modeling, materials, and electronics
Proven track record in launching hardware products with firmware/software integration
Experienced in managing complex cross-functional projects and communicating clearly across teams
Bonus Qualifications
Knowledge of automotive functional safety (ISO26262), reliability calculations, and system FMEA analysis
Experience with EE system communication protocols (CAN, LIN) and Lithium-Ion battery degradation
Familiarity with EMC/EMI concepts and Six Sigma or structured problem-solving methodologies (PPS, 8D)
Compensation
There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $155,000 to $255,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
