Law Estate Wines is located on the west side of Paso Robles; growing premium, organically farmed grapes and producing artisanal hand-crafted wines. We are seeking a talented Graphic Designer & Wine Sales Specialist who can create stunning visual content while also engaging with our tasting room guests and members to walk them through the wines we produce, our farming, history and overall brand. This unique role combines artistic flair with sales expertise, making it perfect for someone who loves both design and premium wines. The breakdown of the position is estimated at 40% towards graphic design, and the remainder to tasting room sales and events, this may fluctuate based on seasonality and vintage to vintage. The experience and role in wine sales is an essential side to understanding our branding and marketing execution. This position is geared towards a full-time position; however, we are also considering part-time applicants.
Graphic Design Responsibilities: 40%
• Collaborate with the marketing and sales team to develop creative campaigns that connects with our members, guests and industry/trade.
• Design execution of tasting room and membership collateral, including order forms and tasting sheets.
• Develop and design engaging graphics for digital and print media, including websites, social media, advertisements, and marketing materials.
• Utilize Adobe Creative Suite, primarily InDesign to produce high-quality branding and marketing content.
• Print and Press checks for all printed collateral
• Working with guests, staff and industry partners in the occasional design of certificates, plaques, wine tech sheets, and misc gift/branded collateral.
Graphic Design Qualifications
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is essential
• Photo retouch and color correction capabilities
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills
• Excellent written communication skills including proofing
Wine Sales Responsibilities: 60%
• Conduct wine tastings and events to while enhancing the customer experience through a background on our wines, winemaking farming and brand overall.
• Preparation, execution and break down of tastings, tours, events on & off winery premises.
• Engage with customers in person and digitally, providing knowledgeable recommendations and exceptional service.
• Scheduling events, appointments, tours and seminars for guests, media/trade and management.
• Maintain an organized inventory of wine products
• Working with staff members on all levels, including winery & vineyard when help is needed.
• Participate in training through tastings, wine courses, travel, harvest, winery/vineyard work.
Wine Sales Qualifications
• Good working knowledge of wine or willingness to learn with a strong interest in wine.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Available to work after hours, weekends and special events as needed.
• Excellent customer service and organization skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors and guests a normal in-person and phone conversation.
