Your Role and Responsibilities at uStoreMore:
Here you will become an expert in all things self-storage. You will help to build the uStoreMore brand in the community and online through the results you achieve at your store. You will greet and provide exceptional service to every customer that walks through your doors, calls on the phone or emails. Often, you will be helping customers during some of their most challenging times, making a difference when they need it the most.
- Develop excellent customer relationships by listening and identifying the storage needs and providing them with solutions.
- Improve sales objectives with prospective customers through unit rentals, insurance of rentals, and sales of moving materials.
- Guide your new customers through rental processes and agreements.
- Become an expert on the leasing process, explaining it to customers and managing all aspects of rentals from making a sale, taking payments, selling merchandise, offering insurance, and making collection phone calls.
- Keep your facility up to the highest of cleanliness standards and participate in operations activities such as: inspecting the store through daily walk-throughs, performing lock checks, and inventory, raising and lowering flags, and cleaning and maintaining the property.
- Perform independently on a day-to-day basis with a focus on teamwork with your supervisor and other stores in the area
- May be required to travel to local retail locations and run errands for the facility.
- Take ownership of your store’s retail business, including operating the point-of-sale system, processing reports, and making bank deposits.
- Participating in financial reviews with your supervisors and store team as well as coordinating and conducting disposal sales.
- Participate in monthly Profits & Loss reports; submit invoices; scan and file documents on Dropbox and work with vendors.
Qualifications:
- Brings self-storage experience - not required but a major plus.
- A passion for customer service and helping people and 3+ years of customer service or sales experience (i.e. retail sales, hotel, restaurant, sales associate, front desk, site management, and/or other customer-centered sales roles)
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software and processes. Experience with Sitelink, StorEdge, and Quickbooks is a plus. Training will be provided for those eager to learn.
- Sales experience, motivated to make outgoing calls to existing clients.
- A positive, outgoing personality with a passion for helping people find solutions.
- Strong accountability combined with enthusiasm for teamwork.
- Valid Driver’s License with access to reliable transportation
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent, a college degree is a major plus
- A basic understanding of reading financial reports and managing expenses.

We also want you to know that...
- You must have the ability to work alternating Saturdays to a preset schedule.
- Performing the duties of this job, you will be frequently required to stand, sit, kneel, crouch, bend, and maneuver around physical properties while conducting inspection duties (walkthrough of property units). On occasion, you may need to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
