We are seeking Nephrology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital (CMH) located in Norwich, NY to help care for patients with acute or chronic kidney disorders, those undergoing dialysis, and those who are candidates for or have undergone kidney transplants. Our ideal candidates would have advanced knowledge and experience in nephrology, including pathophysiology and management of kidney conditions and their complications. Responsibilities:
- Provide care services to patients suffering from kidney related conditions.
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and health assessments.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and conditions.
- Prescribe medications and administer treatments as needed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on preventive healthcare practices and disease management.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
Skills:
- Proficient in medication administration, including dosage calculation and medication management.
- Strong case management skills, including coordinating care with specialists and other healthcare providers.
- Competent in assessing vital signs and interpreting results.
- In-depth knowledge of human physiology and the ability to apply this knowledge in clinical practice.
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and interpretation of lab results.
