Assistant Project Manager – Mission Critical Projects (Data Centers)

Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Assistant Project Manager with experience in mission-critical environments, such as data centers and other high-security facilities.
In this role, you will support the Project Manager in overseeing all phases of construction, ensuring that mission-critical project standards are met and operations run smoothly.
You will work closely with the project team, subcontractors, and clients to support timely, budget-conscious, and high-quality project delivery in these highly technical environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing all aspects of mission-critical construction projects, specifically data centers.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure project tasks align with established timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Maintain project documentation, including schedules, budgets, change orders, and daily reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company protocols.
- Conduct regular on-site inspections to monitor progress, ensure quality control, and address any issues that may arise during construction.
- Support the coordination of equipment installation, testing, and commissioning processes, ensuring all systems meet data center standards and operational requirements.
- Participate in project meetings with stakeholders to provide updates, gather requirements, and ensure alignment on project goals.
- Assist with budgeting and financial tracking, including invoice approvals, cost control measures, and financial reporting.
- Uphold safety and security protocols on-site, maintaining awareness of specific requirements for mission-critical facilities.
- Facilitate communication between all team members, clients, and subcontractors to maintain a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on mission-critical or data center projects.
- Familiarity with construction processes for mission-critical facilities, including HVAC, electrical, redundancy, and security systems.
- Proficient in project management software, such as Procore, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate teamwork and client interaction.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and standards relevant to mission-critical and data center environments.
