Project Engineer (entry level)
Job Description/Duties: - Perform detailed planning and author comprehensive work procedures to support Decommissioning & Demolition projects in an operating nuclear facility.
- Identify and develop proposed updates to project related drawings.
- Maintain project-related documentation within a configuration management system and prepare required documents for project completion.
- Maintain knowledge of technical requirements applicable to the assigned scope of work.
- Walk down systems and site work areas with craft labor and other project personnel to verify design drawing accuracy and to develop overall project plan.
- Provide technical backup to in-process field work.
- Ensure project deliverables are completed on time and according to schedule.
Job Qualifications/Requirements: - Bachelor of Science from an ABET accredited Engineering program (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Structural).
- Able to read and understand Piping and Instrumentation Drawings.
- Must be a US Citizen, no dual citizenship.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Level "Q" Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications: - Field experience on electrical systems (both high and low voltage systems) is highly desired.
- Previous qualification as an Engineer of Radiological Work is highly desired.
- Proficiency in AutoCad, Microstation, Inventor, Solidworks, or similar CAD and 3D CAD software is preferred.
- Previous experience in the nuclear or radiological field is highly desired.
- Current DOE or DOD security clearance is highly desired.
Pay: $63,000 - $99,000
The base salary range for this position in Tennessee (US-TN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $63,000 and $99,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,' unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
