We are currently seeking a Copywriter to work with our Marketing and Product teams on creating email campaigns and push notifications that drive user engagement and retention. This is a contract position with the possibility of converting to a full-time role based on performance and business needs.
As our dedicated Copywriter, you'll craft the voice of our brand communications and boost customer engagement through concise, impactful copy that drives results. You'll write everything from welcome sequences and promotional campaigns to targeted push notifications and in-app messaging.
The role requires approximately 45-65 hours per month. The monthly contract rate is $1,500–$2,000. We offer a flexible work schedule and fully remote work arrangement, allowing you to work from anywhere while coordinating with our team as needed. The final compensation will be based on a number of factors, including the candidate's experience, qualifications, and location.
Contract engagement will begin immediately for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Write and optimize 5-15 monthly email campaigns (welcome sequences, feature announcements, promotional offers, newsletters, re-engagement, milestone celebrations, and product tutorials)
- Create push notifications to drive engagement and retain customers
- Develop high-converting subject lines and preview text for various campaign types
- Collaborate with Product and Marketing teams to analyze performance metrics and optimize content
- A/B test copy variations to improve click-through rates and conversion
- Maintain consistent brand voice while adapting tone for different audience segments
- Write clear, concise in-app messaging for onboarding, feature adoption, and user retention
- Partner with Design team to ensure copy and visuals work seamlessly together
- Stay current with mobile messaging and email marketing best practices
- Prioritize projects to meet multiple and simultaneous deadlines
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in email marketing and push notification copywriting for D2C SaaS products
- Strong portfolio demonstrating various email types (promotional, lifecycle, retention) and push notifications
- Knowledge of email marketing platforms (i.e., Braze)
- Experience with A/B testing and data-driven copy optimization
- Interest in tennis, pickleball, and/or padel
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with marketing and product teams
