Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced HVAC Journeyman Technician with a minimum of
5 years of hands-on experience in the field. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and
repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential, commercial settings. The role requires
proficiency in troubleshooting, diagnosing issues, and providing effective solutions to ensure optimal system
functionality and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
1. Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including heating, cooling, ventilation, units in accordance with
industry standards and manufacturer specifications.
2. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as inspecting, cleaning, and replacing filters, belts, and other
components to ensure efficient system operation.
3. Diagnose malfunctions and defects in HVAC systems using technical expertise, diagnostic tools, and
equipment.
4. Develop and implement repair plans to address identified issues, including replacing defective parts,
repairing leaks, and adjusting system settings.
5. Test HVAC systems to verify proper performance and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
6. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports, equipment inventory, and customer
communication, using digital and paper-based systems.
7. Uphold company policies and safety protocols to promote a safe working environment and prevent
accidents or injuries.
8. Company will provide work truck.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HVAC technician, with a focus on installation, maintenance, and
repair of heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
2. Completion of a recognized HVAC apprenticeship program or equivalent combination of education and on-
the-job training.
3. Possession of a valid HVAC Journeyman level certificate in accordance with local regulatory requirements.
4. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to perform job duties
accurately.
5. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to diagnose complex issues and
implement effective solutions.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients,
colleagues, and subcontractors.
7. Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual labor and lift heavy equipment or materials as needed.
8. Valid driver's license and clean driving record, with reliable transportation to travel to job sites.
9. Commitment to adhering to safety guidelines and protocols to minimize risks and promote a culture of
safety within the organization.
10. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and overtime, as needed to meet project
deadlines and client demands.
11. Must be able to work independently from start to finish.
