The Emergency Placement Clinical Social Worker provides case management and behaviorally focused services.
Essential Duties:
1. Provide 24-hour on call phone coverage for Emergency Placement during assigned shift, remaining reachable by agency-issued cellular phone during business hours (and after hours if on-call) to assist with emergency and/or urgent situations.
2. Coordinate logistics of placement with resource families for youth placed in out-of-home placement into Emergency Resource Homes within contract-required timelines.
3. Perform home visits to meet with youth, complete placement packet and provide case management services and complete accompanying paperwork.
4. Provide transportation to school, appointments, or court for children placed in care.
5. Supervise family visits between foster children and birth family members and complete accompanying documentation.
6. Maintain frequent supportive contact with the resource family and foster child(ren) placed in the home as needed to support the success of the placement.
Qualifications:
1. Experience or interest in working with youth with complex needs and trauma history.
2. Required education: Bachelors degree required.
3. Preferred education: Master’s degree from an accredited or state approved graduate school in social work or social welfare, marriage, family and child counseling, child psychology, child development, counseling psychology or social psychology. MSW preferred.

If candidate is meeting the educational requirement with a Bachelor’s degree, the following experience is required in order to ensure the candidate has the skills and education required in the position: At least three semester units or 100 days of field practice or experience in a public or private social service agency setting. At least nine semester units of coursework related to children and families or eighteen months experience working with children and families. At least three semester units addressing working with minority populations and cultural considerations or six months of experience working with minority populations. At least three semester units in child welfare or two years’ experience in a public or private child welfare social service setting (preferred).
