Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Associate Financial Analyst.
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing basic to moderate range of Project and Revenue Cycle coordination Works with internal and external parties to organize the various components needed to initiate run and complete projects Promotes coordinates and supports the development of projects gathering collecting and analysis data Facilitates the administration process of departmental activities Prepares financial and/or operational analyses and reports and audits current procedures to monitor and improve efficiency of operations Maintains data integrity when manipulating data files for purposes of analysis; running data multiple ways when necessary to ensure accuracy of results; plus all related job duties as assigned
Job Responsibilities:
- Compile and nbsp;review analyses reporting key nbsp;performance indicators claim denials nbsp;and operational metrics
- Participate in corrective actions in response to variances and trends
- Perform nbsp;other nbsp;duties nbsp;as nbsp;assigned
- Assist in forecasting models
- Help design and develop standard department reports nbsp;
- Assist the nbsp;management nbsp;team nbsp;in compiling and analyzing data and nbsp;reports on nbsp;an nbsp;as nbsp;needed basis nbsp;
- Review and analyze claim denials
- Identify trends and suggest corrective action
- Prepare nbsp;status nbsp;and nbsp;ad hoc nbsp;reports
- Leverage nbsp;technology for nbsp;process nbsp;performance and nbsp;quality nbsp;improvement activities
- Prepare reports and documentation in accordance with practice/FGP guidelines
- Review workflow and might recommend improvement if applicable to ensure appropriate cycle times and efficiency
- Assist nbsp;in developing materials and nbsp;presentations for nbsp;training nbsp;and nbsp;educational sessions departmental nbsp;seminars and other activities
- Research problems issues nbsp;and nbsp;concerns and nbsp;responds to nbsp;requests for information nbsp;
- Prepare reports and documentation in accordance with practice/FGP guidelines
- Create nbsp;conceptual nbsp;logical nbsp;and nbsp;physical nbsp;data nbsp;models nbsp;to nbsp;support nbsp;new nbsp;and nbsp;existing nbsp;projects
- Data analysis and profiling be nbsp;able to nbsp;identify the existing and nbsp;potential data integrity issues and implement appropriate solutions
- Gather nbsp;and collect nbsp;data nbsp;from nbsp;different nbsp;parties nbsp;and nbsp;presents nbsp;findings nbsp;as nbsp;applicable
- Review edit obtain appropriate approvals
- nbsp;Respond to nbsp;routine correspondence and nbsp;refer non routine items to the appropriate party
- Independently prepare and reviews documents and nbsp;generate status/progress nbsp;reports for ongoing nbsp;and nbsp;pending projects which may include moderate analysis of findings nbsp;
- Outline agendas plan and prepare presentations and compose a variety of memos and letters
- Provide basic to moderate coordination for project activities to a manager or director which includes but not limited to nbsp;coordination of nbsp;project while working/communicating nbsp;with nbsp;internal and external parties to nbsp;organize and coordinate the various components needed to initiate run and conclude project activities
- Identify research and nbsp;analyze billing nbsp;errors nbsp;and/or omissions
- Help to nbsp;identify and quantify operational deficiencies that may be nbsp;adversely affecting dental billing and/or cash flow i e nbsp;IT systems issues process issues in other areas of the Center registration nbsp;clinical/operational staff on the nbsp;floor nbsp;etc nbsp;Assist nbsp;in nbsp;finding nbsp;solutions nbsp;to nbsp;these issues
- Collaborate with the nbsp;Dental Revenue Cycle Manager to nbsp;identify and nbsp;resolve issues that nbsp;affect nbsp;patient nbsp;access and cash flow credentialing issues
- Maintain nbsp;current working knowledge of nbsp;practice management system Epic Work with nbsp;the nbsp;dental managers and CBO to address provider concerns operational and IT issues
- Participate in nbsp;monthly billing meetings to nbsp;identify opportunities for nbsp;improvement and nbsp;conduct routine meetings with the staff to discuss the results of benchmarks and redirect staff efforts as needed
- Serveas theliaison with dental departmentsandmonitortheirmetricsandperformanceimprovements
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor degree or equivalent in business administration health care administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as Word Excel including advanced functions such as complex formulas pivot tables graphing Access RDBM Data management PowerPoint and Outlook Familiar with Internet applications. Effective oral written communication interpersonal skills. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently. Time management skills and ability to work well under pressure. Ability to ProjecUProgram manage and to multi task while paying attention to details. Solid experience with SQL and relational databases. Strong analytical skills

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $62,400.00 - $63,600.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
