Customer Service Representative (CSR) w/ Company Vehicle Driving Responsibilities

Our store is located across the street from Disneyland and is inside the Camelot Inn & Suites. We also have warehouse space.

Smiley Scooter is a small company that values collaboration and a positive work environment. We rent, repair, and sell durable medical equipment to customers living locally or visiting, whether it be for family or to visit tourist destinations such as Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, Universal Studios, or other places.
Overview:
We seek dynamic, self-motivated, quick-thinking, and friendly individuals to join our team. You will play a crucial part in the success of renting/ selling and delivering scooters, wheelchairs, strollers, and other mobility aids to the guests of Disneyland in Orange County and the surrounding counties.
As a small company, you must be able to wear multiple hats, multitask, share responsibilities with coworkers, contribute to different areas of the business, and work closely with all team members and customers alike. The ideal candidate is someone who takes self-initiative and is a self-starter with experience in customer service and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Engage and provide positive and friendly customer service daily to in-store customers who pick up or drop off equipment, as well as answering any questions the customers may have
Be responsible for instructing customers on the proper usage of the equipment.
Deliver and pick up company equipment with company-provided vehicles while maintaining safe driving and efficient routes.
Answer calls, book reservations over the phone via software we use, and maintain current and accurate information.
Must be able to push and lift 35 PLUS pounds on a consistent basis. For example, we commonly put equipment into neutral and move/push equipment in and out of our store. For some equipment like a transportable scooter, for example, we need to show the customer how to take it apart and put it back together.
Must have good attendance, and be punctual.
Must be willing to take on various tasks and quickly adapt to the workflow.
Handle and help resolve any emerging problems/issues that our customers might face accurately and efficiently.
Work well independently without requiring follow-up.
Help to keep the store and the equipment clean.
Follow up with customers as needed.
Must be able to work weekends
Must be able to work morning and evening shifts.
Must be available for shifts varying in start/end times.
Knowledge of medical equipment is a plus but not required.
Preferred: 7 days of availability. Store hours are typically between 7am to 9 or 10pm, depending on the tourism season Sun-Sat.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment
Detailed-oriented with strong organizational skills.
MUST have a valid drivers license and good driving record
Be able to answer phone calls and type customer information into the system.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Adaptability and flexibility to handle evolving situations, projects, and priorities, often involving a variety of tasks and the need to readily adjust to new demands within the work environment.
