WORK LOCAL – FRI & SAT AVAILABILITY REQUIRED hauling US Mail Post Office-to-Post Office in North County:
THIS IS A PEAK/SEASONAL POSITION, WITH OPPORTUNITY TO BE HIRED ON PERMANENTLY.
• Driver will have a 3-6 hour layover between AM and PM segments on some days; this is a SPLIT SHIFT position
• We pay drivers for pre-trip, portal, load and post-trip time!
• Mail goes out early mornings from Margaret Sellers Post Office (MLS) in Rancho Bernardo to area Post Offices, picked up from the area offices in the afternoon, and returned to MLS.
• Driver will load and secure full carts, then transport and unload at destination.
• We pull 45, 48, and some 53-foot trailers.
YOU HAVE:
• Class A driving experience
• Clean MVR
• Excellent attitude
• Customer service skills
• On-time record
REQUIRED:
• Some days are scheduled as split shifts (early AM and afternoon/PM in ONE day)
• 24-hour and WEEKEND (Friday & Saturday) availability
Night shifts available to Santa Ana/LAX/Anaheim
• Manual transmission experience
• US Postal badge screening with background check
Pay is $27.49 per hour, plus $5.25 HWP benefit (up to 80 hours per pay period).
$500 - 90-DAY PERFORMANCE BONUS IS PAID based on your first 90 days of work for on-time record, no accidents and professional driving.
