The Construction Yard Worker/Truck Driver is responsible for the daily pickup and transportation of construction materials from the company warehouse, to pickup product from vendors, and deliver to company construction project sites. He/she will ensure that all materials and equipment loaded are correct materials for the project, loaded safely for travel, and are delivered in a timely manner. Responsible for all related paperwork to be returned to the office, properly signed, and organized. Ensure vehicles are clean and fueled on a daily basis. Assists with cleanout of vehicles upon return to the warehouse, check for possible operating issues and immediately notifies management if any issues are found. He/she reports any accidents promptly to the Operations Manager and complies with company policies and procedures as well as all state-enforced safety and driving rules and regulations.
The truck driver will be responsible for driving the truck equipped with a dump body to transport and dump loose materials such as sand, gravel, crushed rock, etc. The driver will also drive trucks without a dump body, including trucks with trailer attached to haul equipment. The driver will be required to inspect truck/truck equipment and supplies such as fluids, tires, lights, brakes, gas, and perform pre and post trip inspections.
-Yard to be cleaned and organized daily. Keeping all material and equipment that is stored at the yard accounted for.
-Loading and unloading materials and equipment from the trucks in order to prepare for jobs.
-Daily clean, fuel, and maintain trucks that are in the yard.
-Daily clean, repair, and maintain equipment located at warehouse.
-Must be able to lift (minimum 50 lbs)
-Transportation of materials from warehouse/vendors to job sites.
-Responsible for all related paperwork to deliveries and pickups
-Must aways maintain a clean driving record.
Qualifications:
-Clean driving record (Required)
-Valid CDL A (Required)
-High School or equivalent (Preferred)
-Driving: 5 years (preferred)
Minimum 21 Years old
