Job Description:
Greet and room patients, assist providers in the exam room, and scribe using Electronic Medical Records (Modernizing Medicine"EMA") via iPad and PC. Update patient health history at each visit, and assist in electronic prescription refills (following protocol). Assist providers with patient exams, biopsies, procedures, and surgeries. Sterilization of instruments, making surgical packs, and setting up surgeries. Answer patient questions and provide assistance and directions when necessary. Maintain confidentiality of all patient records. Uphold the positive reputation of our medical office by always treating patients and visitors in a friendly, welcoming, and compassionate manner.
Medical Assistant Requirements and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
1 year of experience in a medical office is preferred. *Willing to Train the Right Candidate.
Electronic Medical Records experience a plus
Friendly, outgoing, and *dependable
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Dedication to maintaining the confidentiality of all patient records (HIPAA)
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This role has no supervisory responsibilities.
Typical Physical Demands:
This position requires a full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. This position requires daily standing and walking. Employees will occasionally be asked to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds. Normal visual acuity and hearing are required. In this role, employees may work in high volume and stressful conditions.
