Join Amazon Music Voice Automation Team in Bangalore, who are responsible for building frameworks, tools, infrastructure and tests for testing the end to end Voice experience of Amazon Music. Work on a complex ecosystem where the life cycle of a voice utterance needs to be tracked and validated across various components touching a wide range of technologies and teams, both within and outside Music.
As a QAE, you will design, implement, and deploy solutions using new or existing technologies that test major portions of software (e.g., significant component, set of features, mid-size applications or services). You will develop, execute and maintain software to test our products. You will improve team's automation of development, testing and deployment. QAEs at Amazon are expected to have industry-leading technical abilities that enable them to significantly improve product quality. You should have a combination of solid in-depth knowledge of Quality Assurance testing methodologies, solid understanding of computer science principles, as well as knowledge of how to architect software for maximum longevity. Develop Test Automation Framework for web based and mobile based applications using Selenium/Capybera and Java based technologies, develop test strategies and automation for BE/APIs, test performance of the large scale systems etc.
You will be an independent contributor, who works with various stakeholders to improve overall quality of customer's E2E Voice experience, aligned with product launches of various Amz Music teams. QAE's key focus is also to own E2E product quality and reduce manual/regression test execution, and improve test efficiency by creating automated solutions, related to Voice domain. You should identify and reduce defects early in the cycle, through building and driving adoption of framework and self-service tools for the Voice QA / Dev and business teams to reduce testing costs and manage future risks.
You will also evangelize and onboard various teams to the framework, by conducting multiple sessions to help them understand high level architecture of the F/W, mentoring and training teammates/stakeholders about the framework.
You will propose and utilize S/W Engineering best practices/processes to improve operational excellence and day to day productivity.
Key job responsibilities
You will be responsible for all testing of an entire project across various platforms
You will be responsible to define the Quality strategy for App Stability & Performance.
You will own the development and execution of test plans and test cases for multiple features of an application
You will develop and maintain testing strategies, including manual and automation testing, and majorly cover the performance automation.
You will ensure comprehensive test coverage by working closely with the product and engineering teams to prioritize testing execution and report on test execution progress and results.
You will participate in design and specification reviews, and use this information to design test plans.
You will promote QA productivity through automation, tools, and other best practices.
You will promote a culture of quality throughout the organization.
You will interact and collaborate with the other development groups at Amazon Music and other organizations within the Amazon group of companies.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in manual testing
- Experience in automation testing
- Experience as QA lead on medium to large sized projects
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with at least one automated test framework like Selenium or Appium
- Experience in gathering test requirements to create detailed test plans and defining quality metrics to measure product quality

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $102,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
