About the role:
We are hiring a Sr. Internal Communications Manager to join our Communications team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for scaling and overseeing how we communicate and engage with Forter’s growing and global workforce. This is an important cross-functional role, working closely with HR, legal, IT and finance, with executive visibility.
This position will be based in NY and follow a hybrid working model.
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop and execute an internal communications strategy that scales with Forter’s business – one that promotes transparency, connection and collaboration across the company.
- Create efficiencies in how and where we communicate by 1) establishing policies and processes and 2) evaluating tools/systems needed to strengthen our internal communications function.
- Create more touch points for our leadership team to connect and engage with employees.
- Manage internal communications channels, including company all-hands meetings, intranet and email announcements.
- Be a passionate advocate of our employer brand across the company, ensuring all of our internal communications align with our company culture, mission and brand.
What you’ll need:
- Advisor: You feel comfortable advisingsenior leadership on internal communications initiatives, including messaging, rollouts, timelines and change efforts.
- Creative communicator: You are an exceptional writer and have a knack for finding creative ways to engage employees, ensuring important information is absorbed and retained. HR Partner: While this role sits within marketing, you enjoy and have experience partnering with HR on key people initiatives, including open enrollment, recognition programs, engagement surveys and more.
- Audience and channel minded: You appreciate that each communication channel serves a different purpose. And you know how to tailor messages for different audiences based on the channel.
- Process oriented: You rely on process and policy more than anything else. You’re comfortable identifying inefficiencies and potential business risk, and implementing new processes to resolve them.
- Data interpreter: You’ll need strong analytical skills to understand what’s working and what’s not and the ability to distill this data into actionable insights for our leadership team.
- Proven track record: You’ve successfully managed internal communications for a high-growth tech company and have hands-on experience working with platforms such as Slack, Zoom and enterprise-grade intranet tools.

Hybrid work:At Forter, we have embraced a hybrid work model that combines the benefits of in-office collaboration with the flexibility of remote work. As part of this exciting approach, Team members are invited to work from the office at least 2 days per week. Salary Range: $139,000-172,000 annually + bonus + equity + benefits
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, and skill level.
