We design and manufacture commuter, travel and cycling bags, directly in our Fourth Street retail manufacturing storefront. We specialize in high performance, water resistant, technical materials: Cordura, XPAC and waxed canvas.

OVERVIEW:
We are currently hiring a production assistant, 32 hours per week.
We run industrial Juki sewing machines, precision laser cutting equipment, and make bags in our sunny storefront in Berkeley, CA.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will be involved in a wide range of pre-production tasks in our workshop, ranging from marking and sorting cut pieces, trimming, operating a bar-tacker, hot knife, laser cutter and logo machine, while prepping parts and pieces for our stitchers.
SKILLS:
Experience with industrial sewing machines is desirable. We are willing to train the right person with adjacent skill sets and a sensibility for making things.

We work in a fast paced but comfortable environment. Strong energy is necessary. You must be able to sit at a machine or stand at a production table for hours at a time and be able to anticipate the needs of those you are working alongside. You must be able to lift 50lb bolts of fabric, regularly.
