What you’ll do:
Collaborate with engineering disciplines and utilize relevant production knowledge to author Aircraft Production Work Instructions.
Assist on and off aircraft build up, rework, and repairs to electrical components, interior closeouts, metallic and composite assemblies, wiring harnesses, and composite secondary bonding.
Support continuous improvement projects for scaling the Midnight Test Vehicle build for Production for manufacturing process and tooling.
Utilizes various forms of engineering and technical information such as model based engineering definition, wiring & schematic diagrams, engineering dispositions, and ground support / test equipment to support the build of our Midnight Test Vehicles.
Mentor other manufacturing engineers on final assembly processes and design for manufacturability improvements.
Review engineering design releases for manufacturability, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and complete process requirement definition.
Collaborate with quality engineering to develop control plans for the Midnight Test Vehicles.
What you need:
10+ years of related experience in Aerospace.
Preferred bachelor’s degree in related field in Aerospace, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering.
Understanding of AS9100 requirements.
Must have extensive experience using shop tools and calibrated aerospace tooling
Understanding aircraft safety, tool control, FOD, and industry standards.
Experience working with composite material layup, secondary bonding, and/or final assembly.
Working knowledge of and ability to review geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
Building and revising work instructions.
Experience working in a product development environment.
Effective organizational and time management skills.
Strong computer skills with an emphasis on Google suite.
Ability to work in a fast paced and highly regulated environment with adaptability to changing priorities.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Great communication skills and a high attention to detail are required.
Travel: 50% or higher as needed to our HQ in San Jose, CA
Education
High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
Preferred bachelor’s degree in related field of Aerospace Manufacturing.
Bonus Qualifications:
Knowledge of IPC 610/620 & AC43.13-B
A&P certification
Experience working with an MES
Experience with electric aircrafts
Experience with high voltage wiring, batteries, and electric motor controllers
Aircraft configuration management and conformity experience

We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $118,150 - $145,000. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
