Arnie's Bakery and Cafe is a newly opened bakery in Sunland Tujunga, blending a vibrant bakery, cafe and restaurant experience. We have a beautiful outdoor seating area as well as indoor. We are famous for our strong coffee and delicious pastries. Our new dinner service is launching soon! As we expand our services, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced manager to join our team. Expectations:
- Take full ownership of the shift operations, ensuring the highest levels of customer service, staff performance and overall guest satisfaction.
- Train and mentor the staff to uphold our standards and procedures.
- Play a pivotal in building our service team, ensuring smooth service transitions.
- Create a manage schedule, ensuring adequate staffing levels and controlling labor costs.
- Order product and inventory, maintaining appropriate par levels and ensuring the bakery is well stocked and ready for daily operations.
- Monitor and control customer service and professionalism
- Maintain bakery cleanliness, overseeing daily cleaning tasks.
- Ensure daily operations run efficiently, from opening to closing.
- Monitor quality control, oversee health and safety standards, and lead by example with hands-on management.
- Manage customer relations and retention, handling any issues or complaints with a proactive and solutions oriented approach.
- Collaborate with the management team on strategy, planning, and improvements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years experience in managing a bakery.
- Proven experience in training and developing teams in a fast paced environment.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Passion for delivering excellent customer experiences and the ability to handle pressure in a high-volume setting.
- Flexibility to work morning and night shifts, weekends and holidays.
