EMT - Emergency Medical Technician Instructor Monday - Friday - 40 hours per week (Riverside)
Compensation is $30.00 per hour
HealthPro EMS is a post-secondary career driven company, currently seeking a Full-Time and/or Part-Time Emergency Medical Technician Instructor(s) to join our Riverside Campus. In this position, you will be responsible for delivering quality educational programs to our students by helping develop the technical and soft skills our students need in order to secure an entry level job in their new career.
Essential day-to-day job responsibilities include:
• Complying with all federal, state, accreditation and institutional policies and procedures.
• Teaching didactic and hands-on/lab components of an assigned course(s) or program according to the EMS standardized curriculum and the course and program objectives.
• Teaching course in accordance with the campus class schedule, including beginning and end of class, and all class breaks.
• Maintaining accurate and timely records of students attendance and students academic grades and progress.
• Enforcing all classroom management policies and processes, including attendance taking and program-related dress code.
• Conducting one-on-one student advisement's, course-specific student academic remediation and student coaching/tutoring.
• Communicating with Director of Education regarding students at risk.
• Developing and implementing student-centered and student engaging classroom activities and methods of teaching and learning.
• Participating in faculty meetings and in-service trainings.
• Following applicable requirements for Continuing Education Units.
• Maintaining professional, technical and instructional competencies through in-service trainings provided by HPEMS and independent professional development activities.
•Maintain currency in subject matter and/or service area.
• Communicate with students and staff in a professional manner.
• Demonstrate versatility in instructional methodology and versatility in serving a diverse student population. • Be familiar with and observe appropriate board policies and contractual agreements.
• Have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Possess the ability to work effectively and harmoniously with students, colleagues, and others.
• Have experience and competency working with and integrating computers, multi-media and computerized software as part of the teaching/learning process.
• Have the ability to deliver instruction using strategies designed for diverse learning styles.
• Demonstrate an ability to design learning objectives and assess learning outcomes.
• Have a willingness to work with students having a wide range of skills, motivation, and academic or vocational goals, as well as cultural, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds.
Qualifications:
Must have or obtain NAEMSE certification or Fire Marshall 1A and 1B
Paramedic or Experienced EMT - Full and Or Part Time Teaching Opportunity Available
• EMT Instructors shall be qualified by education and experience in methods, materials, and evaluation of instruction, which shall be documented by at least forty hours in teaching methodology.
• Be a physician, registered nurse, physician assistant, or paramedic currently licensed in California or be an EMT-II or EMT-I who is currently certified in California
• Have at least three (3) years of academic or clinical experience in the practice of emergency medicine or prehospital care in the last 5 years.

Current BLS provider required
• Current ACLS provider card, PALS provider card, PHTLS provider card recommended.
